As part of their iconic Sport Collection, the Grand Seiko GMT watch delivers a luxurious aesthetic inclusive of a 39mm by 12.1mm stainless steel exterior, a 100 metre water resistant screw in crown, screw down case back decorated with the legendary Grand Seiko lion emblem and dual curved sapphire crystal glass, a material renowned for its scratch resistance and ultra-legible anti-reflective coating. Housed within the tough exterior of the Grand Seiko Sport GMT watch is Calibre 9F86, an in-house quartz movement which offers the same functionality as the standard Calibre 9F82 but now delivers Grand Seiko’s first ever quartz-powered GMT function. Working alongside the brushed stainless steel bezel with 24 hour scale, the brightly-coloured orange GMT hand allows international travellers to monitor a second time zone while the unique correction function allows you to move the hands without stopping the watch when setting it to local time. Alongside a remarkable accuracy of +/- 10 seconds per day, the movement also delivers central hands for hours, minutes and seconds and a box shaped date window at 3 o’clock. For optimal legibility of the smooth black dial, the hands and indexes are highlighted in glow in the dark Lumibrite.
