In celebration of their 60th anniversary, Grand Seiko have launched an all new 9F85 Calibre within their popular Sports range, meet the Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary Sports Quartz Limited Edition. The new Caliber 9F85 has a time difference adjustment function that allows the hour hand to be adjusted without stopping the seconds hand and thus preserving its high precision when the wearer changes time zones. It also impresses with a +/- 10 seconds per year accuracy, Lumibrite central hands for hours, minutes and seconds, and a date window at 3 o’clock. Engineered from classic stainless steel, the Grand Seiko Sport Quartz Limited Edition measures to 40mm in diameter and 12.4mm in thickness and is fitted with a handsome ceramic bezel dressed in the legendary Grand Seiko blue. The bezel, which pairs beautifully with the centrepiece dial, is almost impervious to scratches and couples with a screw in crown and a screw down case back engraved with the Grand Seiko lion emblem, two technologies that help assist in the 200 metre water resistant rating and magnetic resistance rating of 16,000 A/m. For a final touch of robustness, the Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary Sports Quartz Limited Edition is equipped with a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment and kept secured to the wrist by a three-row link stainless steel bracelet and three-fold clasp with push button release.
