In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the legendary Grand Seiko Spring Drive movement, the Japanese watch manufacturer presents a new design into its formidable Sport collection. The Grand Seiko Spring Drive Titanium Limited Edition draws inspiration from the strength and power of the Grand Seiko lion, an emblem that was born with the first Grand Seiko watch in 1960 and has remained decorated on the case back of every timepiece since. Embodying the mane of the lion, the dial of the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Limited Edition is like anything we’ve seen before, boasting a unique, golden-brown textured finish adorned with large central hands coated in Lumibrite and sharp Lumibrite indexes reminiscent of the lion’s ferocious teeth. The 44.5mm case of the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Titanium Limited Edition continues to personify the intense strength of the lion, engineered from high-intensity and lightweight titanium, Zaratsu polished and fitted with dual curved sapphire crystal glass, a material renowned for its scratch resistance and treated with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. To assist in a 200 metre water resistant rating, the case also delivers a screw in crown and a screw down case back with a glass insert so you can see the 18ct gold oscillating weight decorated with the lion symbol. The oscillating weight is part of Spring Drive 9R15 Calibre which impresses with an accuracy of ±0.5 second per day (±10 seconds per month), a date window at 3 o’clock and 72 hour power reserve presented on a power reserve indicator at 8 o’clock.
